ABOUT OPENTOOLKIT
Useful tools without handing over your files
OpenToolkit is an independent collection of free online tools for PDFs, images, data, calculations and everyday work. It is built around a simple idea: when a task can run safely in your browser, your file should not need to leave your device.
How browser-local processing works
For local tools, your browser reads the selected file into memory and performs the operation with code already loaded in the page. The result is created on your device and passed directly to your downloads. OpenToolkit does not receive or store the contents of those files.
Each tool describes its own behavior because some features—such as a contact form or a service that needs current external data—may require a network request. We do not make a blanket privacy claim where it would be inaccurate.
Why we built it
Small file and data tasks should not require an account, an installation, or an unclear retention policy. OpenToolkit makes those common jobs quick, accessible, and transparent on current desktop and mobile browsers.
Trust and transparency
We aim to explain important limitations next to the relevant tool, especially where a conversion can affect quality, metadata, signatures, or numerical assumptions. If something is unclear or incorrect, please tell us so we can improve it.
